Minimally-Invasive Disc Nucleus Replacement Technology

What Causes Degenerative Disc Disease?

As the body ages, the support structure better known as the spine, also breaks down, or degenerates. The same occurs with intervertebral discs which can result in degenerative disc disease (DDD) in some people. Degenerative disc disease is usually characterized by a loss of water content in the disc that can occur over time.

Treatment Options for Degenerative Disc Disease

Historically, treatment options for degenerative disc disease have included doing nothing, physical therapy, opioids for pain management, spinal fusion, and total disc replacement. Total disc replacement and spinal fusion have been considered the gold standard treatments for degenerative disc disease however, they both tend to be maximally invasive surgical options with long recovery times.

Spinal Stabilization Technologies™ introduces a lesser invasive alternative treatment:

The PerQdisc™ Nucleus Replacement System.

PerQdisc™ Nucleus Replacement System?

Spinal Stabilization Technologies offers an innovative, minimally-invasive disc replacement technology for degenerative disc disease. The patent-pending PerQdisc™ devise replaces the physical space of the nucleus (jelly-like material inside the disc) and restores motion and weight bearing capabilities in an anatomical fashion.
